« Thoughts Become Things | Main | The Last Lecture »

It's a good life.

One of the most important lessons I get to learn is BEING with the amount of time it takes to do things. As a pretty quick thinker, I can find myself feeling like things are moving in slow motion. And it drives me crazy! Why can't things happen in MY time line? The feeling I get in my body is so familiar to me, it's almost like breathing. It's "hey, let's go. Time's a wasting! Come on, come on, come on. Hustle!" Expending this brain power is totally counter productive.

As I breathe in a deep breath, I remember the best way I have found to transform that conversation is to acknowledge and honor HOW MUCH I have accomplished. Whether its in the last year, 6 months, 90 days, week, day or hour. Each day I strive to move several rocks forward. To stay present to my dreams, and take small steps to get me there. One of my favorite quotes - and I don't recall where it came from - is "work on your dream everyday." So true.

So, today with all the things I have to do, I've decided to take a little down time and focus on all the amazing things that are in motion in my life. And to know - really know and trust - that they are all unfolding in perfectly. Life is for living now. I need to remember that.

Will you join me in focusing on what's getting done, instead of what's not? And if you have any tips and tricks you use, send them along!

Here's to enjoying the moment, just because.

Bravo - well said! Yes, there is so much power in just BEING and taking a break from DOING. I hope you had a rewarding day of appreciating all the wonderful things you've accomplished - we all know there are MANY!!!
