I AM A YES

About the same time as I got into massive action by reaching out and connecting with people in February, I decided I was a YES to life. A YES to pretty much whatever was put in front of me. Boy oh boy. It's been absolutely fabulous.

A friend gave me an invitation to a 3 hour workshop about communication that totally rocked. (I am doing the weekend workshop next). I've had the good pleasure of working with Matthew Ferry who is truly a world class coach and mentor. Today I was offered an ongoing 1-2 minute spot on a local radio show to present an affirmation for the week (how cool is this!?).

The more I am a YES, the more comes. It's really remarkable. Give it a try and let me know what happens.

Get Into Action

Early Feb I decided to get into action. I was tired of feeling like things were in slow motion. So, I jumped on the phone and started reaching out and connecting with people I hadn't seen or talked to in a really long time. I set up calls and coffee dates with the sole (soul?) purpose of connecting with people to understand what THEY were up to in life. It was cool.

Then a funny thing happened. The more I reached out, the more people popped up. One day alone I had THREE emails from fabulous women that I hadn't talked to in months. One gal I hadn't talked to in a year. It was wild.

My friend Lindsay calls it stirring the pot. I call it tipping cosmic dominos. Whatever you call it, I encourage you to DO it. Get into action. Reach out. Listen to others. And be willing to powerfully share what's most important in your life.

You'll be stunned by the results.

Miracle Report

It's been a while since I've written a Miracle Report. But that doesn't mean they aren't happening any more. Thankfully, they are. And today was no exception.

I popped into the office today - oh how I LOVE the quiet of a Saturday morning at the desk - and realized something amazing. As I was sending a letter of agreement to a new team member, I realized how effortlessly this person came into my life. Based on the heavy lifting required for past teammates, this was a miracle indeed.

For months (15 of them in all!) I've been looking on and off for a new team member to provide Affirmagy admin support. (The trial and error with this assignment alone is worth writing a book.) But it wasn't until I let it go about 90 days ago and stopped really looking that this person was referred to me.

And trust me, it was a miracle. Our new team member is exactly the combination of skills, experiences, expertise and good old laps around the block I've been dreaming of. Amen!

What a great reminder miracles are happening in my life all the time.

Miracle Report #4

I am a firm believer in declaring miracles. Why not? It's so easy to do, and such a wonderful way to create an amazing day. Many of you know that I keep a miracle journal on my desk - it's the best way I've found to keep track of all the amazing things swirling around - while reminding me how good things are on the days when it just doesn't seem that way.

Before sharing recent miracles in this post, I thought I look up the definition of the word "miracle". It's a goodie!

Main Entry: mir·a·cle
Pronunciation: \ˈmir-i-kəl\
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Anglo-French, from Late Latin miraculum, from Latin, a wonder, marvel, from mirari to wonder at

1: an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs
2
: an extremely outstanding or unusual event, thing, or accomplishment

Ha! Don't we all want more of that!?!

Here are the miracles for today's report.
1. Last week we got an order from the North Pole. Santa Claus Lane, no less. So cool.
2. Forbes.com, AOL Money and Finance, and Yahoo! Finance all picked up our "Pay It Forward" press release yesterday
3. A group of mom's in California are buying and donating over 40 Courage Affirmawraps to a local breast cancer support group. Now, that's paying it forward!

What miracles are happening in your life today? I've learned that when I look for miracles, more and more occur.

Miracle #3

This is a different kind of miracle, but a miracle none less.

Today I had really challenging conversation with a member of our team - well, former member - who chose to forget the meaning of the words "client" and "service".

Our call left such a bad taste in my mouth, that I really needed some Listerine! And then I realized something; this person simply doesn't know how to be nice. Today's call wasn't the first time I've been talked to this way by this person, who I pay money every month, so it wasn't a one time thing.

Be nice.

How simple.

"So where's the miracle", you ask? Well there are two (the second happened when I was writing this).

Miracle #1: Once I decided to have an attitude adjustment and got into gratitude that I have released our company from this relationship (yes, there will be a happy dance), I stumbled across a website that made my heart sing: "Be Nice (or Else), the newsletter".

EXACTLY what the doctor ordered!

Miracle #2: A man walked into our office - located on the street level of a big building - and simply said "Thank you for hanging your blankets in the window". He was inspired by the affirmations. Wow. Wasn't that NICE!

So, there you have it. Two reminders that Universe has got my back and is working in wonderful ways, always.

Have a miracle filled day.

The Miracle Report Is Born.

I just decided. Starting today, I am posting The Miracle Report. And that's that.

Since May 8th, I've had a journal book on my desk where I write the miracles that happened that day. What a great way to stay focused and centered.... especially for someone like me who likes things going Mach 5 with my hair on fire. My miracle journal exists to A) get into gratitude for all the great things that are happening, and B) REMIND me that great things are happening. This idea goes hand in hand with "trust the timing of the Universe, Kristen". (Yes, this is written on my bathroom mirror so I'll remember it each day.)

Next, the first report. Fasten your seatbelt.
